WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD INSTRUCTORS!
Safety and Well Being Protection Statement
In order to make this the most enjoyable and learning experience, since 2022, Sharpstown Driving School has installed cameras in the car both interior and exterior. This addendum clarifies how the cameras are a positive for everyone concern.
This was done for several common sense reasons:
-
Transparency and protection for all involved: the students and instructors from any type of mistreatment, harassment, or an uncomfortable environment to learn. While it is sad, it is a reality. We live in a time where some people lack social skills or are hyper sensitive, or will overreact to certain situations. As well as, there are also bad instructors.
2. To have the parents rest assure on how this school is run and how we can be professional in a friendly and relax environment for better learning. We are tough on what we want the potential licensed driver to learn and we will push you and expect you to push yourself to learn; understanding that not everyone learns in the same pace, way, time, or manner. We use commentary driving to teach every individual to look far ahead and understand what they see, what might happen, what they are going to do, and do it with confidence in a relax manner. A video is made on the first day driving on how to control the gas and the steering in the most proficient manner possible. The first two days are the hardest.
-
We may get out of the car to physically see where we are.
-
May have to demonstrate the movements in the air
-
Showing them using their hands the motions to do.
-
May have to draw pictures.
We will most definitely repeat instructions over and over again until it sinks in. Which means the student doing their part in following the instructors’ instructions and/or should include them doing the exercises taught in the lesson at home, even without the car moving. If your child has any type of learning disability, please let us know.
-
The camera is also an extremely good tool to teach by seeing the mistakes done and being able to see through the external camera what was missed or not seen.
2. If at any time within 48 hours of the driving, you would like to see the video; it is available to see with an appointment after hours.
